Master Bathroom A/C Register

This page describes one of the phases of the multi-year Master Bathroom Remodeling Project.

I was looking on-line for a matching mahogany A/C register to blend in with the wooden slatted ceiling I had installed. I found one that might have worked, but once I figured out a relatively simple way to make one myself, I opted for that. I did not originally consider building one since I thought it might be too complicated.

The simple idea I hit upon was to just have a couple slotted ends and put some thin pieces of wood between them. It was simple because it only involved setting the table saw blade at an angle and making a few passes. The thin wooden slats would just sit in those slots, Then I only needed some border trim to make it look nice.

Although I hit upon a conceptually easy way to make this, it did take me a couple tries ot work out the finer details.
