Story
We have a small stone wall near our pool steps that was not built properly. Over the years, the weight of the dirt it encloses pushed down and make the wall start to lean and fall over. This force only increases when we get rain. We've patched it a few times, but because it was not built with any mechanical support, pressure and time will always cause it to fail.
When we had to demolish the adjacent stairs to fix the pool line, we needed to rebuild the wall (see Pool Line Repair Project Page). We would be adding earth anchors to give it the needed mechanical resistance if previously lacked.
