This page describes one of the phases of the multi-year Master Bathroom Remodeling Project.
Location and Specifications
Our master bathroom has an existing skylight that we would like to install some stained glass into. The bathroom has a placeholder where the stained glass is intended. This placeholder is a sheet of 1/4" plate glass with a colored sticker that matches the desired pattern (click thumbnail for larger image).
Details of the opening and assumptions about the designs shown below:
- Inner dimensions of skylight: 21" x 41"
- Assumed needed spacing/clearance between glass an wall: 1/4" (all 4 sides)
- Assumed stained glass border area width: 1/2" (all 4 sides)
- Remaining inner working area for glass: 19-1/5" x 39-1/2"
- Came size width: 0.15" (but could also be 0.125" in places)
- Colors are just approximations of desired color scheme
Design
- Some of this design contains white glass (the flower petals), but most of the design is transparent, thus the transparnet image is needed to diffferentiate those on the white web opage background.
- Black and white image can be used as a template for came outlines.
